Program Lead- Americas Simulation Engineer

Westinghouse is seeking a skilled resource to support training and simulation growth. Building on decades of our global simulator design and operations experience, this role focuses on America's unique client needs and Westinghouse's ability to customize solutions.

This role is a perfect blend of technical and commercial responsibilities related to simulation maintenance and modernization. The primary market is nuclear however, we also have demonstrated expertise supporting power generation and adjacent market simulation needs.

The desired candidate is well connected to the training and simulation market, with hands-on knowledge of the operation and maintenance of all types of simulators. In addition, excellent listening and communication skills are required to understand client needs.

This position is accountable for delivering the business intelligence that drives Westinghouse's value proposition and commercial offering, considering the breadth and diversity of our capabilities. Our goal is to provide clients with an effective and efficient resource enablement pathway.

This position is a hybrid/mobile working arrangement, with frequent visits to the customer facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Develop the strategy and marketing plan to expand Westinghouse's position in the Amercia's simulation market
  • Leverage utility/client connections to understand

    • Simulators refurbishment
    • Big design modifications
    • I&C modernizations
    • Second simulators
    • Simulation Assisted Engineering


  • Support the development of commercial materials
  • Expected travel to customer sites 25-35% of the time


Who You Are:



  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in training simulators operation and maintenance
  • Varied nuclear plant operations and training experience is preferred
  • Deep knowledge on US NRC training simulators requirements and qualification process
  • Ability to distill customer needs and define the right technological approach
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Analytic and business skills, including consideration of financial impact when making decisions.
