Job Summary Event Services and Catering Set-Up Assistants at the Cafe @ Rio at Rio Salado College provide astonishing customer service while serving students, staff and our local community by setting up and executing high quality events. Essential Functions 30% - Executes set-up and break-down for on campus catered events (no driving) 20% - Assists in event room set-ups, as needed 15% - Covers front desk at conference center 15% - Gathers equipment, supplies and prepares beverages before events 10% - Monitors buffets and restocks, as necessary 10% - Maintains cleanliness and exceeds Maricopa County Health Department standards. Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications A. Ability to work as a team player and as well as individually B. Experience providing exceptional customer service C. Experience working in a food and beverage setting D. Experience in facility and banquet setup Special Working Conditions Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds; requires a food handler's card/certificate or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire. All preferred candidates must complete a background check before employment.
