Location: South Hospital 5200 E I240 Service Rd OKC OK 73135 Shift: PRN Responsibilities The MRI Technologist at Oklahoma Heart Hospital plays a critical role in performing MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) exams under the supervision of the Radiology Team Leader and interpreting physicians. This position involves producing high-quality, detailed MRI images for medical diagnosis while adhering to established MRI safety standards and protocols. The MRI Technologist will handle confidential patient information and maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities: MRI Examinations: Perform a variety of MRI exams to produce high-resolution images used for accurate medical diagnosis under the supervision of the Radiology Team Leader and interpreting physicians. Quality & Safety Standards: Follow established MRI safety protocols to ensure patient safety and maintain high standards for image quality throughout the imaging process. Confidentiality & Record Management: Handle patient records and confidential information in accordance with hospital privacy policies and regulations, ensuring strict confidentiality. Collaboration with Healthcare Team: Work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure proper imaging procedures and effective patient care. Patient Care & Comfort: Provide excellent patient care, ensuring comfort and support during MRI procedures, while educating patients about the procedure and answering questions as needed. Adherence to Hospital Values: Perform duties in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Oklahoma Heart Hospital, providing compassionate and high-quality care to patients. Qualifications Education: Two year AMA approved program in Radiologic Technology, associate or baccalaureate degree. Licensure/Certification: Certification with the ARRT. Current BLS certification. Experience: Prefer minimum of one (1) year of experience.
