Emergency Management: The Department of Emergency Management prepares the University of Central Florida by enhancing partnerships and coordinating all activities necessary to build, sustain, and improve the University's ability to mitigate, protect, and prevent against; respond to; and recover from natural, technological, and human-caused threats and hazards. The Opportunity: The Continuity of Operations Plan Coordinator I reports directly to the Director of Emergency Management and supports the development of the University's Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) as required by Florida Statute Section 252.365 and Florida Board of Governors Regulation 3.001. COOP planning helps prepare University units to maintain mission-critical operations after any emergency or disaster. The position creates and maintains existing university plans, policies, and procedures related to COOP. Works with Department Continuity Coordinators to develop and manage the COOP plan for their respective department, college, or unit. Responsibilities:
