The Billy and Rozanne Rosenthal Department of Management at the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin is hiring a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Organizational Behavior to join in the fall of 2025. We are a comprehensive department with regard to research topics and methodologies. Current members of the Department of Management are Professors Caroline Bartel (Department Chair), Ethan Burris, Janet Dukerich, David Harrison, Luis Martins, Francisco Polidoro, Metin Sengul, and PK Toh; Associate Professors Andrew Henderson, Shefali Patil, and Ram Ranganathan; and Assistant Professors Shiva Agarwal, Andrew Brodsky, Constantinos Coutifaris, Steven Gray, Paul Green, Insiya Hussain, Harsh Ketkar, Cha Li, and Subrina Shen. The Rosenthal Department of Management is housed within the McCombs School of Business, a top ranked school in the UT-Dallas Business School Research Rankings that aspires to become the highest-impact public research business school. The department provides excellent research support through its strong PhD program, other graduate and undergraduate assistants, and extensive research funding. The department is home to five thriving centers and institutes: Center for Leadership and Ethics, Harkey Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies, Herb Kelleher Entrepreneurship Center, Jon Brumley Texas Venture Labs, and the Kendra Scott Women's Entrepreneurial Leadership Institute. In addition, the department runs the school's one-year Master of Science in Technology Commercialization (MSTC) Program. The school's location in Austin is particularly attractive to faculty interested in connecting with a thriving business community comprising established firms and start-ups for research opportunities. The ideal candidate for our faculty position must demonstrate an ability for high-quality research that will have a major impact on the field of management. Candidates must also be able to teach successfully at the undergraduate, MBA, and/or executive level. A Ph.D. (or very near completion) from an accredited institution is required.
