Collaborate with engineers and designers to gain experience in the development of prototypes, including conducting experiments, troubleshooting equipment, and applying engineering principles to solve technical issues.
Provide support across Engineering Technology tasks including designing, developing, assembling, and testing manufacturing systems and components, assembling and testing electronic circuits and systems, or creating and revising detailed technical drawings, plans, and diagrams using software.
Follow industry standards, safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment in all aspects of work.
Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and requirements.
Develop an understanding of manufacturing, electronic and/or drafting standards and industry best practices.
Understand and communicate city and state requirements for all tasks that require permits, ensuring compliance throughout the project while coordinating with engineers, conducting site surveys, documenting obstacles, and supporting system testing and implementation.
High school diploma or GED.
Must be enrolled in an Engineering Technology Program to qualify.
Must have completed at least one semester in the program with a 2.5 GPA or higher.
Completion of an external interview with a collaborating industry partner.
Require a recommendation for hire.
Preliminary training in the industry selected.
