Senior Product Analyst (Flex Office/Home)

We are looking for talent with experience with insurance analytics to join our growing Product organization. You will be part of the Product Analytics team, reporting to a Senior Product Analytics Manager. Responsibilities include reviewing and overseeing our homeowners' results for select states and delivering state analytics that promote profitability and growth.

We offer an excellent opportunity to work with a variety of business and process leaders across the American Family Enterprise (Government Affairs, Compliance, IT Leadership, Partner Management, Operations, Claims, etc.) and the broader American Family community.

In this flex office/home role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783; Boston, MA 02110

Relocation Support Offered for Eligible Candidates

Internal candidates are encouraged to apply regardless of location and will be considered based upon the needs of the role.

Position Compensation Range:

$95,000.00 - $156,000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

Primary Accountabilities

  • You will collaborate with your state manager to perform analytical analysis within your states to ensure products are winning in every market.
  • You will analyze results on a monthly basis by completing monthly reporting, researching drivers of performance, including support for multiple deep dive projects, and making recommendations for further analysis or strategic changes.
  • You will use tools such as GCP BigQuery, Looker Studio and Power BI to extract data and create reports for ad-hoc and routine reporting.
  • You will guide decisions and priorities with understanding of our competitive position and an understanding of external data and industry resources.
  • You will bring improvements and enhancements to existing processes, with an eye on automating to improve process efficiency.
  • You will lead non-region-specific projects, tool building, and other tasks.
  • You will manage requests for policy reviews and compliance requests.
  • You will identify business opportunities, develop a product plan to maximize those opportunities, and implement the plan.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements

  • Relevant Experience: 5 or more years of professional experience, including work in Property & Casualty insurance.
  • Educational Credentials: A bachelor's degree and quantitative analytical knowledge is required; a graduate degree and/or CPCU designation is preferred.
  • Structured & Logical Thinking: The ability to identify and define business problems, and develop strategic, analytical, and financial frameworks to conduct analyses.
  • Analytical Rigor: Analyze state performance, identify additional areas of research, and recommend improvements.
  • Software Experience: Knowledge of SQL, SAS, R, Python, Tableau, GCP, and/or other programming/data query/reporting knowledge, also, intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel is required

  • Up to 10%.
