We are seeking resumes for multiple Senior Process Engineer's in our Valdosta, GA. Paper Mill.

The senior process engineer is responsible for daily quality control and product testing in addition to supporting mill operation through supervision of laboratory testing.

Principle Accountabilities:

Develops and maintains methods for tracking and reducing operational costs.

Coordinate the efforts of our outside resources to improve our operation by filtering and utilizing appropriate information.

Conduct data analysis projects and uses data to make business decisions. Assignments may include some work at higher levels for training and development purposes.

Ensure that pulp, power, paper, and all support operations are compliant with all applicable environmental State and Federal permits and laws.

Consult with engineering on capital planning and project implementation for process modifications or upgrades.

Support the mill's goals for safety, environmental, and other areas of need.

Implement company policy in the workplace and community.

Teach employees safety, correct procedures for quality assurance testing assignments, and general knowledge of the kraft process.

Maintain product specifications that adhere to industry standards and customer requirements.

Ensure product quality standards are met by monitoring process variables, testing and evaluation of variables, and measuring test values of finished product against specifications before approval for shipment.

Perform other responsibilities as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Pulp and Paper Science or equivalent education and experience required.

Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience in technical, quality control, or related work areas.

Successful completion of drug screen and authorization to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:

Pulp and paper industry experience preferred.

Ability to read and understand technical correspondence, memos, instructions, and reports.

Exhibit excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and computer skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously.

Ability to work well under pressure and within time constraints, multi-task, and build sound relationships with both internal and external customers.
Ability to apply skills to continuous process improvement while maintaining maximum levels of safety.
Capable of independently making sound decisions through creative problem-solving, ambiguity, and change.
