So what will you be doing all day? You would join us as a Construction Manager I working on things like...




  • Works closely with project managers, engineers, designers, procurement staff, construction managers, contractors and other project services staff to support detailed planning and scheduling of projects from conceptual planning through engineering and construction.
  • Analyzes documentation to maintain awareness of resource loaded schedules, including lists of activities, major milestones, critical approvals, long lead procurement items and other critical project deliverables to be scheduled and tracked for the projects.
  • Schedules equipment deliveries and tracks the delivery status.
  • Records meeting notes and forwards to clients as needed.
  • Researches contractors for the project bid process.
  • Contacts subcontractors to obtain project documents.
  • Process contractually required documentation, including but not limited to, Certificates of insurance, Daily logs, RFIs, Change Order Requests.
  • Uploads pictures and documents to project folders.
  • Contacts clients regarding service quality and client satisfaction.
  • Obtains reference letters and testimonials for marketing.
  • Attends meetings, both internal and external when called upon by the primary construction manager.
  • Assists in updating and maintaining the project management software.
  • Produces project construction schedules using Microsoft Project or similar software.
  • Assists in the assembly and distribution of equipment and construction bid packages.
  • Meets with Project Managers regarding project status and forecasts.
  • Contacts clients regarding payments and performs collection efforts as needed.
  • Learns about the impact of design changes and schedule slippages.
  • Gains knowledge of engineering, procurement, and construction terminology and concepts.
  • Seeks knowledge of critical path logic networks and accumulates data for use in maintaining realistic future planning and forecasting.
  • Attend regular client meetings and supports preparation of statistical reports.
  • Administers safety programs and maintains good owner relations.
  • Ensures a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Verifies contractors are meeting and practicing all required OHSA and industry approved safety standards.
  • Ensures required licenses/permits have been documented and participates in conferences with city or county inspectors to ensure compliance of legal requirements, company regulations, and building and safety codes.
  • Assists in the development of accurate budgets for all projects and clients that reflect all costs associated with construction.
  • Supports management of planning, materials, building, and budget of construction projects.
  • Supports negotiations and provides cost estimates for construction work and associated change orders.
  • Assists with business development activities by promoting Henderson to existing and potential clients.
  • Participates in client, company and industry events.
  • Grows personal network by building relationships with clients and industry professionals.

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field of construction or engineering preferred. Common examples include Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Science, Construction Engineering, and Construction Management.

    • Years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of requisite education.


  • OSHA certifications required.
  • One (1) or greater years of relevant experience required in construction and the design of building systems.
  • Project management, estimating, field installation, and installation supervision experience preferred.
  • Effective project management skills.
  • Technical expertise in primary fields of focus as well as familiarity with other related fields.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and to recommend and analyze pragmatic solutions for clients.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and standards relating to the facilities in which we work.
  • Possesses efficient communication skills.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills specifically within Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project.
  • Adapts to changing work environments, work priorities and organizational needs.
  • Generates ideas for improvement, takes advantage of opportunities, suggests innovations.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to identify and understand relevant emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Contractor state license preferred.
