Complaint Resolution Officer AAEO Administration Full Time 80111BR Job Summary The CRO primarily responds to complaints of discrimination and harassment and discrimination pursuant to the University's Sexual Violence Sexual Harassment Policy ("SVSH Policy") and the University's Policy on Discrimination, Harassment, and Affirmative Action in the Workplace Policy ("Nondiscrimination Policy") and must possess the ability to exercise independent judgment, assess and negotiate complex, highly sensitive situations, maintain confidentiality, and maintain neutrality when handling matters.
The CRO will function as a member of the Intake Team in the Office for the Prevention of Harassment and Discrimination ("OPHD"). The CRO is primarily responsible for conducting outreach and intake interviews related to allegations of violations of the SVSH Policy and/or the Nondiscrimination Policy, assessing documentary evidence and information provided during intake interviews, and conducting alternative resolutions when appropriate.
The incumbent will make recommendations concerning matters that the CRO believes are appropriate for alternative resolution and, upon approval from the Deputy Director of Complaint Management, will implement alternative resolutions. The CRO will also make recommendations regarding matters that should be referred to the OPHD Investigation Team for formal investigation. Upon consultation and approval from the Deputy Director of Complaint Management, the CRO will refer the matter to the OPHD Investigation Team. The incumbent will also assist, as needed, with conducting internal audits, legal research, and providing campus training, and will serve as a campus subject matter expert on sexual harassment, sexual violence, and EEO-related policies and requirements. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $108,800 - $163,200 (Annual Rate).
