Position Overview

Position Summary: The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences seeks qualified candidates to teach as part-time resource faculty for the Aviation Law Science Program. Availability depends on the needs of the university each semester: therefore, you may not be contacted immediately. Your credentials will remain on file for 1 year from the date you submit an application. At that time, current applicants will be asked to re-apply.

Adjunct faculty positions are part-time temporary assignments that are based on the needs of the university.


Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, deliver, and review course materials and syllabi.
  • Address students' questions and offer feedback on assignments.
  • Foster a classroom environment where students feel comfortable participating and learning.
  • Keep abreast of advancements in the field and integrate new knowledge into lessons.
  • Create assessments that comply with departmental regulations and requirements.
  • Prepare students for assessments and provide constructive performance feedback.
  • Provide additional support to students in need and schedule consultation times upon request.
  • Suggest additional readings or provide guidance to students as necessary.
  • Attend adjunct faculty meetings as required.
  • Perform other reasonable duties to meet program management and learning objectives.


Minimum Job Requirements:
Master's degree in aviation with law credentials or Master's degree in law with a strong background in aviation or 18 hours in a related discipline. College-level teaching experience and/or terminal degree desired. Salary is based on degree and experience and paid on credit hour basis.

Working Conditions

Physical Demand and Working Conditions:
Work is sedentary in nature that at times requires exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
