The salary range for this position is $200,000-$375,000. This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan Application Window Open date: July 24, 2024 Most recent review date: Wednesday, Aug 21, 2024 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Tuesday, Dec 31, 2024 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The University of California, Davis, Department of Neurology seeks multiple outstanding cognitive neurologists for full-time faculty positions in the School of Medicine in Sacramento, CA. The positions are available at all ranks in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor (HSCP) series or the Clinical "X" series. The level of appointment will be commensurate with credentials. Faculty in the Clinical X series are expected to engage in professional competence and activity, teaching, research and creative work, and University/public service. Faculty in the HSCP series are expected to demonstrate professional competence and activity and engage in teaching, scholarly or creative work, and University and public service. UC Davis Medical Center is host to a federally funded Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC) which provides collaborative and administrative support to associated faculty. The Neurology Department also hosts behavioral neurology and neuropsychology fellowship programs and there are multiple other mentorship opportunities. UC Davis Health includes a large primary care network which makes many referrals for cognitive behavioral evaluations to our multidisciplinary California Alzheimer's Disease Center (clinical Center of Excellence in dementia) and the UC Davis Healthy Aging Clinic. These faculty positions require an interest in the clinical practice and the teaching of medical students, residents and fellows. In both the HSCP and Clinical "X" series, the faculty member will provide clinical care; teach medical students, residents and fellows; and provide University/public service. In addition, candidates will have the opportunity to participate in ongoing research activities of the ADRC including investigator initiated studies and multiple clinical trials. Protected research time is available for candidates with strong research interests dependent on their qualifications and accomplishments. While research is not required for the HSCP series, participation with ADRC clinical research program is strongly encouraged.
