Overview THE OPPORTUNITY The National College of Education (NCE) at National Louis University (NLU) is pleased to announce a search for a Full-Time 10-Month Assistant/Associate Professor and Program Chair position in the Educational Leadership and Principal Prep program and solicits nominations and expressions of interest (rank will depend on experience). We seek a colleague with extensive leadership experience at the school and/or district level. This position includes leading the school-level leadership programs at the M.Ed., Ed.S, and Ed.D levels, as well as teaching prospective principals and superintendents, preparing candidates to develop a strong foundation in classroom assessment and evidence-based decision-making, research project design, and using data analysis for PK-16 improvement. Experience in program evaluation and policy advocacy at the P-12 or higher education levels would be welcomed. A demonstrated research agenda and productivity appropriate to the field of educational leadership with demonstrated skill in research methodologies is expected. Priority will be given to individuals with research in the area of principal and/or teacher evaluation systems, evidence-based decision-making, diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, or classroom, school level and district assessment. Priority will also be given to individuals with experience in with leadership with the higher education setting. Lead the School Level Leadership Programs including ensuring compliance with the ISBE requirements for the principal endorsement
Qualifications Position qualifications include an earned Educational Leadership Doctorate, or a related field, with experience in conducting applied research in classrooms/school settings, and higher education teaching experience commensurate with rank. Candidate should have at least three years of leadership experience.
