This position is hybrid in nature requiring 2 days/week on-site at the Westinghouse facility in Columbia, SC. We are able to entertain all candidates authorized to work without sponsorship now and in the future as we are unable to sponsor Visa's for this opportunity.

Your Day-to-Day:

The Electrical Engineer II will be an individual contributor that is fully proficient in applying established standards; knowedge base acquired from several years of exerience in the field and expected to work independently.



  • Support upgrade projects involving I&C and power activities.
  • Implement rapid response plant modifications from the design phase through installation and startup.
  • Perform engineering design and analysis and propose solutions to complex problems that are not well defined.
  • Coordinate and direct the efforts of designers and craft personnel during implementation of projects.
  • Create project schedules and budgets. Track progress and spending.
  • Develop scopes of work and bid packages.
  • Support and work closely with other plant groups including Operations, Maintenance, Work Management and Reliability Engineering.
  • Participate in hazard and safety analysis reviews.



Who You Are:

As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:



  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • Minimum 3-6 years of experience related to the job requirements.
  • Field travel as desired to support operating plants and manufacturing as desired.



Experience in I&C& Electrical Power including:



  • Motor Control Centers
  • General power layout for I&C cabinets
  • NEC knowledge
  • Allen Bradley - Rockwell PLC Software
  • Instrumentation andtransmitters
  • Modbus/Profibus
  • Specify equipment independently from vendors.
