Under general supervision of the Director, Mouse Biology Program (MBP) this position will provide financial support for activities related to budget and forecasting, pre- and post-award contracts & grants administration, financial analysis and reporting, and recharge rate development. Independently perform high-level budgetary and financial functions for the MBP. Prepare and establish budgets, organize resources according to budgetary plans, prepare both routine and ad hoc financial reports using data from the general ledger and unit or project budgets, and forecast revenue and expenses. Coordinate and oversee the development and maintenance of Recharge Rates for the MBP. Work with the Director to develop and review the rates for recharge services and other revenue/funding sources as needed. Represent OR in the meetings and discussions as needed. Assist in the OR annual budget process including the development of presentations and the preparation of annual reports. Develop and maintain computerized databases and spreadsheets for complex analysis and graphical displays including dashboard reporting. Independently prepare detailed reconciliations, complete expense and fund transfers and make recommendations to the Director for continuous improvements in both the quality and presentation of financial information. Assist in the development of multi-year operational and capital budgets and financial plans. Ensure appropriate accounting and internal controls are maintained. Work directly with the Director, managers, and other key stakeholders throughout the organization. Independently responsible for financial and budget management, oversight, and accountability for all intramural and extramural funds including managing both the pre-award and post-award programs for MBP academic researchers. Serve as primary point of contact for compliance consultation and as the primary resource to the MBP academic researchers for all extramural activity. Manage comprehensive pre- and post-awards including complex proposal development and submission in support of the MBP's contracts & grants portfolio. Independently manage interaction and liaison work with Sponsored Programs, National Institutes of Health and other sponsoring agencies, collaborating academic institutions, administrators and academic researchers within the MBP at all levels to ensure the proper administration of federal and private funded contracts and grants. Ensure compliance with sponsor and University Policy & Procedures for all business processes and all intramural and extramural funding on behalf of the MBP researchers. Oversee implementation and management of various aspects of the business operations including accounts receivables, development and maintenance of the customer database, external client business agreements, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Memorandum of Understandings (MOU), service contracts, and warranty agreements. One-year contract with possibility of extension. Applicants will be screened on on a weekly basis. The position can be filled prior to the apply by date.
