Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination Position Summary The Camp Aide assists in various camp departments as assigned, including Recreation, Housekeeping and Food Service. This position works under the oversight of the Site Manager or his/her designate. Essential Functions
- Assist, participate in, or lead Activities department activities as assigned
- Assist the Hospitality department with assigned cleaning duties in camp buildings, bath houses, and restrooms
- Assist the Food & Beverage department with meal service, dish room, and dining room duties as assigned
- Be familiar with camp guest programs, camp schedules and camp facilities
- Report any unsafe condition to a supervisor immediately
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis
- Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead
- Ability to operate a desktop or laptop computer
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
- Perform all other duties as assigned
- Responsible for any other duties assigned by the Camp Director, Site Manager or his/her designate

Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 16 years of age
- Work as a team player
- Able to follow through on assigned tasks.
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis.
- Ability to grasp, reach overhead, push, pull and carry objects such as chairs, dish racks, tables, etc.
- California Food Handlers Certificate
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- Ability, both visual and auditory, to identify safety hazards and monitor guest and staff behavior and enforce appropriate safety regulations and emergency procedures
- Ability to walk, stand, bend and stretch
- Ability to lift, up to approximately 50 pounds, and occasional lifting of equipment.
- Physical ability to operate kitchen equipment according to safe recommended methods
- Physical ability and endurance to perform tasks while standing for long periods of time (60 minutes or more)
