Position Summary The Guest Services Associate I provides quality customer service and assistance to members, clients and customers coming into the facility through the various entry ways. Essential Functions
- Provide great customer service to the community; see that all customers, clients and members are given prompt and courteous service.
- Maintain all Kroc Center cash handling policies: appropriately accepting transactions, verifying daily deposits and maintenance of till bag.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, be out-going, and enjoy building relationships with a variety of members.
- Complete sales transactions for all programs channeled through respective venue.
- Provide tours and offer information to guests, emphasizing membership sales and offering full product availability to customers to best meet their needs.
- Appropriately communicate information about all Kroc Center programs and membership options.
- Assist with minor event set-ups & activities and ensure general venue safety. Communicate facility issues to the appropriate person(s).
- Oversee member & customer interactions as related to Protecting the Mission policies.
- Provide information and answer questions about available programs.
- Adhere to RJKCCC operations as well as all policy procedures as adopted by Administration.
- Observe all safety rules and regulations.
- Attend staff meetings as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality.
Working Conditions Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis. Ability to be able to lift up to 40lbs. Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinets drawers and reach overhead. Ability to operate computer, fax and telephone. Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years (work permit & parental consent required for employees under 18).
- Previous customer service and point-of-sale experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers & supervisors.
- Must comply with all applicable business, employment and copyright laws.
- Maintain the confidentiality of all client information.
- Maintain a drug and alcohol free work environment.
- Must have or obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certification within the first 90 days of employment.
- Must be in good physical and mental health.
- Have the ability to work with children, parents, staff and a variety of ages groups in a capacity of leadership, counseling and education.
- Must have the ability to maintain a non-judgmental attitude in working with customers, clients, members and staff.
- Maintain a professional attitude and approach to problem solving.
- Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
- Must have command of the English language and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to empathize and communicate with low-income and vulnerable people.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- High school diploma or diploma in progress.
- Computer experience helpful.
- Must have the ability to work with children, parents, staff and a variety of ages groups.
- Demonstrate the ability to relate positively and energetically with staff, clients, members and customers.
- Must have the ability to maintain a non-judgmental attitude in working with customers, clients, members and staff.
