Tig Welder - 2nd Shift

The TIG Welder is an important member of the manufacturing team and is responsible for the welding of various components. Applicants must be able to successfully gain certification for at least two metals during the first 90 days of employment. Weld test specifications - 2F .050 flat position butt joint with full penetration and 1G .050 flat position T Joint with no burn through on 6061 Aluminum, 625 Inconel and 321 Stainless Steel.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:




  • Reads blueprint or job order for product.





  • Tig weld per AWS D17.1 2024 weld standard





  • Advises Lead when tooling becomes worn to the point that tooling can be replaced or repaired.





  • Cleans and maintains workspace





  • Welds products in weld fixtures per prints with little or no support.





  • Fits materials into weld fixtures.





  • Coordinates with manufacturing to ensure parts meet proper specifications.





  • Verifies that parts are of high quality and exceed customer's expectations.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
