A Day in the Life:

The essential functions of this role are as follows:

  • Shape our strategic vision and quarterback our roadmap for marketing data & insights, with the goal of enabling internal and external (university partner) audiences.
  • Connect the dots across data sub domains inside and outside of marketing (e.g., partner insights, revenue planning, business intelligence / reporting, channel insights) and build a high performing function with a common source of truth.
  • Establish a scalable data foundation (including defining a common set of terms / definitions across legacy businesses, shaping our infrastructure and data model in partnership with business technology and other stakeholders, setting up self-serve access to data across teams).
  • Scope and implement core reporting and dashboards for priority internal audiences (e.g., executive audience, partnership team, segment and channel leaders) and for our external partner audiences.
  • Drive the development, architecture, and implementation of more scalable / advanced / predictive models to solve top business challenges (e.g., forecasting, budget) .
  • Lead cross-functionally and liaise across the organization (e.g., business technology, enrollment services, channel marketing) to implement our data foundation in a best-practice way and to drive progress on our aspirational data roadmap.
  • Develop and continuously improve our data and analytics capabilities (approach, tools, systems, talent, skillsets) and how we enable growth, insights, and differentiation / stickiness with our partners.
  • Define and implement our performance and measurement ecosystem, spanning from student insights and patterns, to partner diagnostics and benchmarks, to leading indicators and funnel forecasting - across all segments (new, enterprise, etc.) and channels (organic, paid, field).
  • Enable and help quarterback rhythm of business / operating cadence with data and insights (e.g., monthly performance reviews, board decks, investor narrative and updates, budget and reforecasting processes).
  • Build and lead a high performing team, ensuring we have the right talent, skillsets, culture, and coordination; be an effective coach and bring out the best in each team member.
  • Establish, train, educate, and drive best practices in how we look at data and integrate it into decision making.
  • Stay at the leading edge of industry and functional trends, new technologies in the data and analytics space, creative applications; drive continuous learning and improvement across the organization.

What You'll Need for Success:

You must meet the following requirements to be considered for employment:

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing or data analytics, including extensive experience with optimizing, measuring and predicting performance
  • Success in driving an enterprise view of insights and data, connecting consumer insights, to segment/business unit health, to marketing measures, to aggregate results
  • 5+ years of experience building and leading high-performance teams within analytics/insights functions that develop strong partnerships with stakeholders
  • Experience leading advanced analytics solutions and building predictive model (commercial/marketing mix models, forecast models, etc.)
  • Experience leading insights function in B2B and/or B2C context; fluency with marketing analytics function and with financial metrics / P&Ls
  • Experience with analytic tools and system (SQL, Python, Tableau, etc.).
