*** This is a Temporary 2 year position *** Prefered Experience:
- Expertise in molecular and/or cell biology, immunohistochemistry
- Familiarity with genomics and bioinformatics
- Technical laboratory experiences in microscopy and image analyses
- Ability to generate and analyze data
- Evidence of teamwork, resourcefulness, and time management capabilities
- Competent written and verbal communication, as well as organization and prioritization skills
Job Summary: The Research Associate serves as an independent researcher, or a collaborator on a multi-scholar research initiative, and may have lead responsibility for discrete components of a larger project. Performs other duties as needed.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in related science fields required. Master's Degree preferred. Minimum three years of research experience required. Minimum one year of supervisory experience preferred.
Knowledge and Skills: Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position; Able to relate and communicate positively with faculty, staff, students, administration and others; Must possess working knowledge of internet-based and smart phone-based software enabling communication with research/program directors as well as research/program staff; Work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; excellent self-motivation, problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision; maintain high level of confidentiality and ethical integrity. Knowledge of quality, research regulatory requirements. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
