Job Summary:



The Division of Pulmonary Sciences and Critical Care is looking for board certified or board eligible Pulmonary/Critical Care physicians who will perform clinical services (pulmonary or critical care) on an as-needed basis, fee-for-service on the Medical ICU night shift.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Inpatient evaluation and management of acute and critically ill patients with complex medical and pulmonary diseases.
  • Staff the Medical Intensive Care Unit and/or Medical Surgical Progressive Care Unit.
  • Ordering and interpreting tests and evaluations for patient management
  • Collaborating with consulting services on patient management
  • Perform invasive procedures with appropriate credentials
  • Provide cross-coverage for other service lines within the Division as needed
  • Support the educational mission of the division
  • Other duties assigned by the Lead Advanced Practice Provider and/or the Associate Chair for Clinical Affairs

Qualifications:



Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.



  • MD/DO
  • Board certified or board eligible in pulmonary and/or critical care
  • Eligible or licensed in Colorado (would need to obtain CO license before
  • working)
  • Certified to see adolescents and adults


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Excellent communication skills to interact with multiple medical providers and disciplines
  • Excellent bedside manner and physical exam skills
  • General Internal Medicine knowledge base
  • Advanced lung disease and critical illness-related specialized knowledge and skills
  • Pulmonary Medicine, Intensive Care, or Subspecialty background

Anticipated Pay Range:



The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

This is a fee-for-service position. Each in-house night shift is paid at a flat rate of $2,500 per shift.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
