    Astound Broadband is hiring for a Broadband Technician in Austin, Texas. The Broadband Technician I is responsible for residential installation and disconnections for data, video, and phone on the customer premises with a high level of focus on customer service, customer education, and quality of work. This role will be responsible for ensuring and recording correct RF signal levels. The BBT I is required to communicate with leadership and dispatch as needed.

    • This position will be based in Astounds Austin, TX office.


    A Day in the Life of the Broadband Technician:



    • Residential install and disconnects* (data, video, phone) on customer premises
    • Ensure/record correct RF and signal levels within specifications
    • Communication with leadership and dispatch as needed
    • Customer education
    • Operate company vehicle in safe and responsible manner
    • Other duties as assigned


    What You Bring to the Table:



    • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
    • Experience: 0 (Entry Level)
    • Competencies: Maintain satisfactory driving record and have a valid driver's license
    • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ladder; Hand or Power Tools; Customer Service; Communication (verbal, written); Basic Computer Skills; Aptitude to learn to skills; Problem solving; Time Management; Teamwork; Working alone


    Education and Certifications:



    • High school diploma or equivalent
