School Nurse to join our team in Lancaster!
Who We Seek:
We are looking for an experienced nurse to join our exceptional nursing team within our day school programs. The nurse will work as a part of the school nursing team to provide supervision of medication management and health coordination for youth in a day school setting. You will assist in overseeing medication plans and medication administration, as well as offering critical decision-making for health emergencies. You will work with the nursing team to enhance the health education of our students and our staff and serve as a health advocate for both students and staff. This is a year-round school nurse position.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assist in the management of the school-based Medication Administration Program, consistent with the regulations governing the administration of prescription medications in public and private schools.
- Assist in the development and facilitation of health education classes for students.
- Maintain student health records.
- Oversee and perform all state-mandated programs such as immunization surveillance and screenings (vision and hearing).
- Triage of injury, illness, or accident and provide appropriate intervention.
- Participate with staff in developing and implementing school health curriculum programs.
Requirements:
- Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in nursing.
- A minimum of two years of employment as a Registered Nurse in child health, community health, or other relevant clinical nursing settings.
Shifts:
Mon-Fri 8 am-4 pm

$2,500 Sign-On Incentive
This position is eligible for the RFK Community Alliance Sign-On Incentive in the amount of $2,500 in your first year of employment. You will receive $500 after 3 months; $500 after 6 months; $1,500 after 12 months.
