We are seeking a professional Operations Manager to coordinate and oversee our organization's manufacturing operations at Bruker AXS LLC located in Kirkland, Washington including production, purchasing, logistics, manufacturing engineering and quality. The Operations Manager role involves implementing efficient processes and practices across the organization. As an Operations Manager, you'll formulate strategies, improve performance, procure materials, and ensure compliance. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining compliance, efficiency, and profitability during our business operations.

The Kirkland facility is expected to grow very fast in the next couple of years and the main focus of this role is to manage growth including to extend the manufacturing facility.

As an Operations Manager, you will:

Ensure Efficient Operations:

    Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations.
  • Be responsible for factory output and quality.
  • Lead and develop direct reports to create a high-performing, customer-centric operation.
  • LEAN manufacturing background is an advantage.

Strategic Initiatives:

  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives, including process improvement, supplier development, and outsourcing.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Form a close relationship with the on-site product development team.
  • Support new product development and introductions.
  • Maintain close communication and collaboration with the headquarters.

Compliance and Efficiency:

  • Ensure all operations are carried out in an appropriate, cost-effective manner.
  • Improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices.
  • Purchase materials, plan inventory, and oversee warehouse efficiency.
  • Formulate strategic and operational objectives.
  • Examine financial data to improve profitability.
  • Manage budgets and forecasts.
  • Perform quality controls and monitor production KPIs.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff.
  • Mentor team members.
  • Find ways to increase the quality of customer service.


Qualifications

Requirements and Skills

  • To excel in this role, you should have:
  • Proven work experience as an Operations Manager or in a similar role.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in an instrumentation or customer machine production environment in a relevant role
  • Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management.
  • Experience in budgeting and forecasting.
  • Familiarity with business and financial principles.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong leadership ability.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • A degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • While SAP knowledge is advantageous, it is not a strict requirement.

At Bruker, the base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $127,000 and $205,000 and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on several job-related factors, including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge, and travel requirements for this position. Full-time employees may also be eligible for a performance-related incentive in addition to a full range of benefits, including 401(k) with company match, an employee stock purchase plan, medical and dental plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, employee assistance program and paid time off including vacation, sick time and holidays, and more.
