The SWIFT department is a part of the Health Well-Being and Safety (HWS) division at UCR. In this role, the SWIFT Clinician will provide professional mental health crisis assessment, treatment/intervention and prevention/education services in support UC Riverside's commitment to re-envisioning campus safety, fostering a welcoming service-oriented campus community. The SWIFT Clinician must be a skilled professional who is multi-culturally proficient/affirming, has experience with trauma-informed care, and demonstrates their experience in providing crisis intervention services. The SWIFT Clinician will respond to crisis situations and may deliver on- and off-site, immediate and personalized interventions within a framework of inclusion, excellence, and social justice. A co-response model, pairing clinician with another professional staff member or Campus Safety Responder (a non-sworn professional trained in de-escalation) for all calls outside of the office will be utilized. This role will also help students navigate resources on- and off-campus, and support students who have challenges related to post-hospitalization/discharge from behavioral health facilities.
This role will work outside of traditional work hours (M-F 11am - 8 pm and/or 4 days at 10 hours, 9 am - 8 pm). Additionally, the classification title and salary range for this position are currently under review. The classification for this position is covered under the UPTE-CWA (Residual Health Care Professionals (HX). Licensure in California is required to begin work in this position. The full salary range for the SWIFT Clinician is $78,700.00 - $145,100.00 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $90,000 - $111,900 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
