The Highlander Union Building (HUB) Building Maintenance Worker guides and performs a variety of general maintenance, custodial/housekeeping and event set-up tasks and assignments. The HUB is a central location of activity on campus featuring dining/retail facilities, offices for student organizations and campus departments, meeting areas, lounges and event spaces. Assists with with the repair and preservation of structures, building systems, infrastructure and grounds to promote a safe, secure and comfortable campus environment. May work independently or as part of a team in assigned work areas. Performs all job duties in adherence with University and departmental safety guidelines. Maintains a positive attitude and communicates effectively with colleagues, supervisors, staff, faculty and students.
The full salary range for the Building Maintenance Worker is $20.65 - $27.25 hourly. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a university employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements. | |
