What You'll Do: Champion Safety. Per MSHA, OSHA, and Vulcan standards, take an active role in prioritizing safety for yourself and others throughout the operation at all times. Maintain responsibility for the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the harbor vessel and crew. Ensure Compliance. Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations related to the vessel's operation in inland waters, including all USCG and environmental rules and regulations. Train. Train all current and new crew members. Operate Equipment. Operate and maintain navigational equipment, fire suppression, and hull integrity. Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Skills You'll Need: Experience. Must have proven proficiency through previous experience or by successfully completing the in-house training program. Relevant License. Must hold a valid 200-ton Master USCG-issued license with radar endorsement. Flexibility. Must have the ability to work two weeks on and two weeks off.
