We are currently seeking a CCTV Field Technician to join our team in Los Angeles, California (US-CA), United States (US).

NTT Data is seeking a CCTV Field Technician responsible for the on-site integration of company and multi-vendor systems solutions, which may include hardware, software, and networking products. Duties include, but are not limited to, on-site and/or remote installation, implementation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting and/or repair of low voltage CCTV systems, as well as testing and terminating coaxial, fiber, and copper cable as needed for analog and IP based CCTV systems. Serves as company liaison with client on administrative and technical matters. Interprets clients' needs and determines the responsibility for problem resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete installation of all in scope hardware and software required to meet customers expectation.
  • Interact in a professional and positive manner with management, team members, and guests.
  • Install, maintain and repair of low voltage systems such as video surveillance, alarms, and CCTV systems.
  • Provide guidance and technical advice to field teams, becoming actively involved as necessary.
  • Manage a team of technicians and installers, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Coordinate with other construction professionals, such as electricians and project managers, to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
  • Supports service-level improvement and management of field service teams and suppliers.
  • Inspect and test low voltage systems to ensure they are functioning correctly.
  • Maintain project documentation, including schedules, work orders, and inventory records.
  • Ensure that all work complies with relevant codes and regulations.
  • Resolve escalations to maintain strong client experience levels.
  • Design strategies to ensure that all day-to-day services have been controlled and that all the clients' needs are met.
  • Execute remote field service from a home-based office.
  • Test and terminate coaxial, fiber, and copper cable as needed for analog and IP based CCTV.
  • Perform computer program entry as required to add closed circuit television cameras as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, and general upkeep on all installed equipment.

Work Environmentand Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, squat, kneel, bend, crawl, sit, climb a ladder and lift 30 - 50 lbs (occasionally overhead)

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years working with Security, Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion Alarm systems, Intercom systems or other building or electronic control systems.
  • OSHA 10-hour General or Construction Industry Safety and Health Certification
  • Two-year technical degree, or above, in Industrial Technology or related field

  • Experience installing and servicing CCTV, DVR systems, and burglar alarm systems in commercial environments.
  • Requires excellent organizational, communication, computer and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic knowledge of networks and/or network switching
  • Computer proficiency -- experience with Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage escalated client situations with a focus on building positive client relationships.
  • Excellent understanding of internal service processes and able to articulate these to clients.
