How You'll Perform the Role

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:

This position has multiple responsibilities which range from:



  • Performs every element of maintenance with Safety as the first responsibility.
  • Supervises the Repair and services on all types of electrical equipment, plant instrumentation, and PLC's.
  • Supervises and participates in the preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, 5S, and equipment improvement teams.
  • Participates in CMMS implementation and planning
  • Participates in Root Cause analysis and continuous improvement process.
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Identifies and leads opportunities for improvement of PM's and spare parts controls.
  • Works within an environment focused on the reduction of unplanned downtime.
  • Works collaboratively with other functional areas to ensure accomplishment of plant KPI's.
  • Applies lean manufacturing tools and principles in maintenance activities.
  • Follows all applicable food service (SQF) policies and procedures.
  • Proficient PLC troubleshooting and evaluation for equipment malfunction resolution.
  • Proficient understanding of elemental NPN, PNP, Sinking, Sourcing, 40-20 ma, direct current, analog, and digital components.
  • Proficient in core maintenance fundamentals of pneumatics and hydraulics troubleshooting and repair.
  • Repair of machine parts including building new parts from stock.
  • Supervises and participates in the preventative, predictive, 5S, maintenance activities and continuous improvement teams.
  • Provides support for all maintenance employees.
  • Identifies and reports opportunities for improvement of electrical controls and control infrastructure.
  • Works collaboratively with all departments to ensure accomplishment of all plant KPI's.


What We Need From You

Candidate Requirements:

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:



  • In-depth knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in building, troubleshooting, and maintaining plant equipment controllers, as related to all the standard I/O structure, including components rated as Positive or Negative Switching, Sinking, Sourcing, 40-20 milliamp, DC, analog, and control.
  • Proficient with reading and comprehension of plant electrical and pneumatic schematics.
  • Proficient with Industrial Maintenance responsibilities including all areas of plant production support.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate & lead process improvement teams through the root cause problem solving process and implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems to determine what steps are necessary to allow equipment to function properly.
