Join the AmFam Facilities Systems team and you will learn new skills and stretch yourself technically as you maintain and improve our world class facilities! We currently have openings on Third shift at our National Headquarters facility, located in Madison, WI.
Day-to-day, you will be part of a team that is responsible for operating and maintaining numerous AmFam owned buildings primarily in the Madison WI area.Your team will focus on both basic and advanced service and preventative maintenance of mechanical (HVAC), electrical, plumbing, building automation and kitchen repair. You will oversee the comfort, safety, and reliability of engineering services to regional customers while ensuring those regional business operations are not interrupted. Demonstrated depth and diversity of skills is expected. A desire to take your knowledge to the next level is a requirement. Hours- Saturday - 4:20AM-5:10PM Sunday - 4:20AM-5:10PM Monday - 4:20AM-5:10Pm Rotational on-call/rotational Holiday/shift coverage when needed Eligible for shift premium- 10% after 6:00PM-12:00AM 15% 12:00AM-6:00AM Eligible for shift premium- 15% Saturday and Sunday American Family is located in Madison, WI, a city regularly ranked as one of America's best places to live. Position Compensation Range: $26.44 - $43.26Pay Rate Type: HourlyCompensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates. Primary Accountabilities * You will initiate preventative maintenance which may include inspecting, monitoring and fixing. * Oversees water heating and cooling systems which includes inspections, maintenance and changing settings. * Performs authorized building automation system functions to include start/stop sequencing of equipment, set point overrides, alarm/temperature monitoring, and diagnostics. * Handles electrical requirements which may include testing generators and materials, disconnecting and reconnecting electrically powered appliances and Installs low voltage data and phone cable throughout work environments. * Oversees operation of on call emergency service response. * Serves as a first responder for problems involving plumbing and kitchen problems dealing with plumbing systems, water heaters and softeners and appliances. * Inspects, cleans, repairs and converts all air and fuel distribution systems. Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements *Must possess basic PC skills. *3 years experience in mechanical, plumbing and electrical functions * Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service * Demonstrated ability to learn and develop expertise in Pro Lease. Licenses * Valid driver's license required plus an acceptable driving record. Travel Requirements * Up to 10%. Physical Requirements * Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces. *Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. *Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another . * Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.
