Salary range:
The salary range for this position is $348, 490 -$532,788. This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan https://aadocs.ucdavis.edu/policies/apm/apm-670.pdf. Application Window Open date: May 2, 2024 Most recent review date: Thursday, Oct 3, 2024 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Monday, Apr 21, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The Department of Surgery, Division of Burn Surgery, at the University of California, Davis seeks to recruit a full-time Academic Burn Surgeon focusing on burn care at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level in the Clinical X, Health Science Clinical Professor or In-Residence series depending on experience and qualifications. The Division of Burn Surgery at the UC Davis Medical Center is a nationally recognized and verified program that offers singular care for adult patients with burn injuries. We provide comprehensive services for the critical care, medical, surgical, and reconstructive treatment of patients with burn injuries and burn related diseases. The Division of Burn Surgery educates trainees as part of its integrated burn residency and fellowship programs. The candidate will be expected to participate in clinical care, teaching, research, and university service depending on academic series. Expectations of the Clinical X and In-Residence series are to engage in teaching, research, service, and clinical work. Expectations of the Health Science Clinical Professor series are to engage in clinical work, teaching and to support the department's research mission. The candidate ideally will have demonstrated clinical teaching and basic science or clinical research skills, with potential to write grants and build strong local and international community relationships. Dependent on the chosen academic series, the individual will be expected to develop a research focus in burns or burn reconstructive surgery, or equivalent academic endeavor.
