- Lovelace Medical Center is an acute care hospital with 263 licensed beds, providing comprehensive care, including around-the-clock emergency care, surgical services, non-invasive robotic spine surgery, stroke care, radiology and oncology services.
Responsibilities
- Performs a wide range of advance technical preventive maintenance and repairs for assigned facility and/or department to include plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilating, and/or air conditioning services.
Performing tasks such as but not limited to pipe fitting, welding, and machining - Operates a variety of plant operation equipment such as boiler, chiller, etc.
- Prepares and maintains logs, records and charts.
- Provides emergency maintenance as requested.
Maintains work area to ensure a clean and safe environment. Adheres to safety requirements as required Participates and attends departmental meetings and training. Maintains licensure as required. - Takes ownership of assignments; other duties as assigned or requested.
Communicates and listens effectively with internal and external customers; effectively understands instructions and shares knowledge. Cooperates and interacts with supervisors, peers, other departments, and all customer groups demonstrating our commitment to "service".
Qualifications
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Three (3) years of related experience
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Preferred Job Requirements
- Technical and/or Vocational training in related field of study
- NM journeyman license in either construction trades or boiler operation
