PURPOSE OF POSITION
To provide properly trained, qualified and certified Pilot Instructoraircrew to augment USMC FRSI's at VMUT-2 to enable and sustain student throughput IAW DCMAINST8210.1 (series). MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor's degree required. Training and Experience: Prior MQ-9 pilot training, specifically the United States Air Force (USAF) MQ-9 Pilot Initial Qualification Training course (IQT), USMC MQ-9 Pilot Training Course at VMUT-2, or industry equivalent MQ-9 Pilot Training Course (General Atomics-ASI, L3-Harris, Albers, etc.). Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) First or Second-Class Airman Medical Certificate, or a current DD Form 2992 at the GFR's discretion, reflecting the individual is medically cleared for flight duty. No less than 550 Pilot in Command (PIC) hours in MQ-9 aircraft (up to 50% of that MQ-9 flight time can be conducted in simulator) and no less than 25 hours of MQ-9 instructor time. Minimum five years experience as a pilot required, ten years preferred. General Skills: Must be able to handle multiple tasks, a self-starter, flexible in work assignments, detail oriented, highly organized, possess good interpersonal and written communication skills, and work under limited supervision. Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Desired Experience: Previous MQ-1/9 Pilot Instructor preferred.
