What This Position Is About

The Financial Analyst supports the Entity CFO in all financial monitoring and tracking occurring within the JTI US Leaf Organization.

The incumbent oversees the calculation and collections of Expenses and Metrics, ensures the metrics are qualified and correct, and presents to Entity CFO for interpretation and presentation to the group.

The position ensures all costs and expenses are tracked and traced by Value Stream within the organization and are compiled and presented via the appropriate channels.

He/she creates analysis of general ledger accounts as a basis for presentation and decision making and ensures clean accounting books.

They will ensure direct compliance with both US GAAP and JTI Policy & Procedures. Furthermore, the incumbent will be a Value Stream Finance Partner to an associated stream throughout the crop season, overseeing all associated expense tracking mechanisms needed for financial oversight of the value stream, and participating in projects within the Value Stream.

Who Are We Looking For - Requirements




  • University degree in Finance, Accounting or a Chartered Accountant;
  • Previous experience company in Accounting or Finance, preferably in FMCG company;
  • Fluency in English, with excellent written and oral skills;
  • Excellent computer skills with proven proficiency in MS office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). SAP, Business Warehouse and PowerBI experience would be preferred;



Areas of Responsibilities




  • Planning & Analysis Planning, Analsyis and Reporting for review and presentation to Entity CFO. Analytics to ensure adhearance to forecasts and budgets. Work cross-functionally across value streams to ensure accurate and realistic forecasts for US Leaf;
  • Financial Accounting Prepares ledger comparisons for US GAAP, IFRS, and TAX based on JTI's new ERP Solution. Comparisons must reconcile based on the different accounting methodologies and appropriate provisions will be journaled based on variance analysis. Makes appropriate General Journal Entries into the ledger with associated backup based on operational forecasts. Ensures Key Account Reconciliations are performed on selected General Ledger accounts based on company policies and procedures;
  • Value Stream Analysis Work as a business partner with US Leaf Value Streams', in order to forecast and analyze P&L accounts within the Leaf Origin. Strenthen the partnership role of finance within the Value Stream framework to promote ARCI (accountability/responsibility) and cost controlling;
  • Forecasting Performs Finance oversight for forecasting LE's, ASP & Outlooks associated with Entity Planning. Includes planning with Value Stream Owners inclusive of these areas within JTI Leaf Services (US) LLC and sharing with stakeholders on a Local/Global basis;
  • Compliance Ensures JSOX process controls are performed and documented in accordance with JTI's JSOX GRM. Support Preparation of BAP/MEMO/ITR's as needed. Performs Key Account Reconciliation aligned with JTI's Global KAR Framework model;
  • Purchase Requisitions Ensures all PR's for Production Support cost centers are done as appropriate. Conduct appropriate GR/IR analysis on associated PO's as appropriate;
