Get to Know Your Team:

  • Lovelace Medical Center is an acute care hospital with 263 licensed beds, providing comprehensive care, including around-the-clock emergency care, surgical services, non-invasive robotic spine surgery, stroke care, radiology and oncology services.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures. Prepare a clear, accurate preliminary report in both verbal and written format for radiologist and/or other medical providers.
  • Document medical history related to the exam being performed and complete daily computer work.

  • Maintain credentials and/or licensure
  • Participate and attend departmental meetings
  • Adhere to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

  • Take ownership of assignments; other duties as assigned or requested.
  • Communicate and listen effectively with internal and external customers; effectively understand instructions and share knowledge.

  • Cooperate and interact with supervisors, peers, other departments, and all customer groups demonstrating our commitment to "service".


Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Completion of an Accredited Ultrasound Program and ARDMS Eligible
  • ARRT, ARDMS or equivalent registered or eligible
  • Full State of New Mexico licensure required within one year of hire
  • Must maintain licensure and national certification/registry
  • Basic Life Saving Certified

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree
  • One (1) year experience in the healthcare/hospital environment
