Position description

Position:

Lecturer positions in the Department of Psychology for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Description:

Duties will include teaching in lower division general psychology and research methods, or in one of the following areas at the upper division level: developmental, psychobiology, social-personality, psychological disorders, or perception-cognition.

In addition to teaching duties, must hold regularly scheduled office hours a minimum of two hours per week to provide the opportunity for consultations with students outside of the classroom.

Qualifications:

The department is looking for recent Ph.D.s in Psychology or a comparable degree. Those with previous teaching experience are also considered. We will prioritize recent and current graduate students who have worked closely with the Psychology program at UC Davis. Preference is given to candidates who have experience with remote testing and various instructional technology. Candidate must be eligible to work in the USA.

Dates Available:

Fall Quarter 2024 - September 23 through December 13, 2024

Winter Quarter 2025 - January 3 through March 21, 2025

Spring Quarter 2025 - March 27 through June 12, 2025

Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

Ph.D., in Psychology or a related field.

Additional qualifications (required at time of start)

Those with previous college and university teaching experience, who can document teaching excellence, with demonstrated effective teaching in courses to be taught. Candidate must be eligible to work in the USA

Preferred qualifications (other preferred, but not required, qualifications for the position)
