Physician - Neuropsychologist Ochsner Health - Neuropsychology The Ochsner Neuroscience Institute is actively seeking a NEUROPSYCHOLOGIST to join the Department of Neurology at the Ochsner Covington campus. The Neuropsychologist will provide consultations and evaluations, and work closely with Neurologists, Neurosurgeons, and Allied Health Professionals to offer a comprehensive service for each patient. The staff Neuropsychologist will join a growing service within the Neuroscience Institute that currently includes 7 Neuropsychologists, 7 Psychometrists, an Administrative Assistant, and 2 Neuropsychology Fellows. Each Neuropsychologist is paired with a Psychometrist. Our Dementia Care Management Team is also embedded in our service, which includes Care Navigators, Social Work, and Social Work Students. Opportunities are available for split time at other Ochsner campuses as well as remote work with the use of virtual visits. Remote/virtual work can create opportunities to serve patients in other regions of Louisiana while eliminating extensive travel for the Neuropsychologist. Candidates interested in leadership and professional development opportunities are also encouraged to apply. Leadership opportunities can exist at the campus, section, and department level. Onboarding staff are also welcomed to conduct individual/group psychotherapy and/or establish new clinical research if interested. Louisiana license or license eligibility is required. Individuals completing fellowship are welcome to apply. The primary role of the Neuropsychologist is to conduct neuropsychological evaluations for diverse neurological conditions. Evaluations will be conducted on a primarily outpatient basis with opportunities available for inpatient assessments. The primary populations currently served within the Neuropsychology Division include Neurodegenerative Conditions, Traumatic Brain Injury, Primary or Comorbid Psychiatric Conditions, Movement Disorders (pre-post DBS evaluations), Epilepsy (and pre-surgical evaluations), Multiple Sclerosis, and Stroke. The Department of Neurology has a team of Neurologists system-wide with subspecialty representation in Stroke, Neurocritical Care, Interventional Neurology, Neuromuscular Disease, Movement Disorders, Epilepsy, MS, Headache, Cognitive Disorders, Sleep, Traumatic Brain Injury and Sports Medicine. We are a Top 50 Neuroscience Center in the latest US News and World Report rankings.
