The salary range for this position is $188,600-$357,300. This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan. Application Window Open date: March 4, 2024 Most recent review date: Wednesday, Apr 3, 2024 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Monday, Mar 3, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences University of California, Davis, School of Medicine, is recruiting for a physician-scientist distinguished scholarship in mood and bipolar disorders at the Full Professor rank in the Ladder /In Residence series. This position is critical to the growth and expansion of research programs within the department, the UC Davis MIND Institute, and the School of Medicine. The successful candidate will be expected to lead the department to new levels of excellence in mood and bipolar disorders. The incumbent will provide teaching and supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows, participate in appropriate professional societies and educational organizations, and provide service to department and school committees. This individual should also have ability to foster collegiality and work collaboratively in a diverse environment and adhere to University policies and procedures. This recruitment is conducted at the Full Professor rank. MD or DO; Candidates must have active extramural research funding in mood and bipolar disorders that is transferable to UC Davis, a strong record of publication and career development in biomedical animal- and/or human-based research and demonstrated excellence in teaching and mentoring. In addition, the candidate must have the ability to anticipate change and implement initiatives to meet the challenges of academic medicine and science, a demonstrated commitment to diversity including a record of successful mentorship to diverse candidates, the ability to create relationships with commercial partners, and should exhibit excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with administration, trainees, clinicians, faculty in other disciplines, and technical staff.
