I. Qualifications for Employment

A. Education (Minimum Requirements):

High School Diploma or GED

B. Employment Experience:

Food service experience in a family style group/communal setting.

C. Pertinent Other:

* Good written and oral communication skills

* Ability to work well with both adults and children

* Must pass Child Abuse Clearance

II. Nature and Scope of Duties:

The position reports to the Director of Viking Child Care Center. As the sole person in the kitchen, the duties are as follows:

1. Prepares and serves breakfast. You will prepare and serve the breakfast for enrollment of 50 children or less. For enrollment over 50, you will receive and serve breakfast for all children enrolled.
2. Prepares and serves lunch. You will prepare and serve the lunch for enrollment of 50 children or less. For enrollment over 50, you will receive and serve lunch for all children enrolled.
3. Prepares and serves snacks for all children (up to 114) enrolled
4. Prepares and serves breakfast, lunch, and snacks
5. Washes dishes, cups, utensils and serving items, etc
6. Keeps accurate records as required by CACFP and Child Care Center
7. Prepares infant bottles as needed
8. Maintains the kitchen in a clean and organized manner
9. Keeps inventory of supplies and provides a list of needed supplies to the office weekly
10. Contacts Food Service Kitchen with food order (when applicable)
11. Covers staff breaks as needed
12. Attends staff training and staff meetings

Performs all reasonable related duties as assigned

SALARY RANGE: $16.50-$17.00/hour
