Starting salary will be $15 per hour

Summary/Primary Purpose: Plans, implements, supervises members and evaluates activities provided within a specific program area, supporting the Boys & Girls Club priority outcome areas of Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Good Character and Citizenship. Builds and maintains a professional relationship with all Club members and their families in order to help advance the mission of The Salvation Army.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Creates an environment that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development Outcomes.
  • Promotes and stimulates program participation and assists with registration of new members and participates in their club orientation process.
  • Provides guidance and role modeling to members.
  • Implements and administers programs, services and activities for Club members in an effective manner.
  • May oversee special programs and services such as Youth of Year programs or Youth of the Month.
  • Monitors and evaluates programs, services, and activities to ensure safety of members, quality in programs and appearance of the branch always.
  • Prepare periodic activity reports as directed.
  • Assists with implementation of outreach efforts to sustain and increase program membership and program participation.
  • Assists in maintaining facility and equipment in good working order as well as ensuring all storage areas are kept orderly and clean.
  • As needed, reports all repairs, maintenance, and janitorial needs to supervisor.
  • This position may participate in special programs and/or events as directed.
  • May be required to drive Club vehicle.
  • All other duties as assigned.


Supervisory Responsibilities: Youth Development Professionals

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED required. Previous work in related field with Children and Youth preferred.
