Job Summary
This position is located in Montgomery, Alabama

Seeking part-time nurse coverage for clinical services performed under contract with the State Employee Insurance Board ( SEIB) at the State Wellness Center in Montgomery, AL. Applicants shall provide professional nursing support and direct patient care a following established standards and practices.

Temporary Employment Services ( TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being:

  • Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time
  • Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads
  • Assistance with special projects
  • Seasonal work
  • Emergencies

AU students are not eligible for TES.
Essential Functions

  • Prepares patients for examinations and treatments and collects objective and subjective assessment data in preparation for the patients exam.
  • Serves as a productive member of the interdisciplinary care team providing input into care decisions.
  • Provides direct patient care such as administration of medications and immunizations.
  • Documents patient care provided and follows all regulatory guidelines.
  • Communicates test results to patients under the direction of the primary care practitioners.
  • Coordinates medical care with other providers when patients are referred to other providers.
  • Prepares and maintains clinicals supplies and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates degree or equivalent in a technical or scientific field related to area of assignment.
  • Must be have a valid license as a practical nurse (LPN) or registered nurse (RN).
