Job Description
The Supervisor - Surgical Operations is responsible for directing and overseeing the daily activities of the unit on an assigned shift and is responsible and accountable for directing and facilitating the efficient flow of patient care activities of the department/area. The position manages individualized, goal-directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures. The position is responsible for the delivery of quality care in designated surgical services area while meeting standards as set forth by the State, regulatory agency and facility policies and procedures. The position promotes teamwork with all surgical team members and other departments. The position works with leadership on team member relations including communication and documentation with the team member. The Supervisor - Surgical Operations works with surgeons and anesthesia providers directing and coordinating workflows. Responsibilities
