2 years Application Window Open date: January 5, 2024 Most recent review date: Thursday, Nov 7, 2024 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Friday, Nov 22, 2024 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The Mechanical Engineering Heat Transfer Lab is looking for a qualified postdoctoral researcher that is self-motivated, creative and enthusiastic to work on experimental measurements and numerical simulations of nondiffusive heat transfer in micro/nanomaterials and their interfaces. This postdoc will be co-mentored by Dr. David Cahill from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and Dr. Yanbao Ma from University of California Merced. The duties of the postdoc will include i) conduct experiments and simulations to characterize non-diffusive heat transfer in micro/nanomaterials and their interfaces; ii) writing papers describing the results of the evaluations and investigations, and iii) assisting with the oversight of graduate and undergraduate assistants working on these projects. Qualifications Basic qualifications
Must have a PhD in thermal science and engineering, or related field, and experience in the thermometry and modeling. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred qualifications
