Under the direction of the Assistant Vice Chancellor (AVC), the Managing Executive Director of Development (MEDOD), Neuro and Vision Sciences Programs is responsible for the development of the overall strategic design and implementation of a robust and comprehensive fundraising program to include the following clinical, education and research areas within the School of Medicine: Neurology, Neurological Surgery, Vision Sciences, Psychiatry and the MIND Institute. The MEDOD is also responsible for managing a fundraising team and directs the identification, solicitation and stewardship of prospects/donors; mentoring and developing colleagues in the successful achievement of fundraising metrics; and the development of fundraising materials, marketing plans, and development events/programs. The MEDOD also carries a portfolio of major and principal gift donors and prospects. This is a metric-driven position functioning as a UC Davis major gifts officer, operating in full compliance with development polices and collaborating with other development professionals throughout the university. Responsible for identifying new donor prospects through researching background information on potential donors and developing materials, fundraising plans, and organizing campus-wide site visits and related programs/events. Cultivate, steward, and solicit donor prospects as well as orchestrates solicitations with senior campus officials. The MEDOD will manage a fundraising staff comprised of four fundraising professionals and two related administrative support staff: Senior Director of Development 3.0 FTE Assistant Director of Development 1.0 FTE Analyst 1.0 FTE Administrative Assistant: 1.0 FTE Apply By Date December 1, 2024 at 11:59pm; Interviews and recruiting process may occur at any time.
