The above functions are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by providers assigned this job classification. Education, Licensure and Certifications: Eligible for prescriptive authority through the Georgia Board of Nursing and/or Georgia Composite Medical Board. If applicable in setting, must have or be eligible to obtain a DEA license. Nurse Practitioner - Master's Degree or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required. Georgia license to practice as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and Registered Nurse through the Georgia Board of Nursing required. Certification in the area of practice and appropriate for the population served from a nationally recognized certifying body required. Physician Assistant - Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program required; Master's Degree preferred. Georgia license to practice as a Physician Assistant through the Georgia Composite Medical Board required. Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistance required. |
