BHC is a vital locally led health care organization in the Florida panhandle with an active open-heart program, level 2 trauma center and is proud to offer the area's premiere ECMO (Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) program. BHC prides itself on a multidisciplinary team approach in caring for patients requiring cardiovascular services, including a very robust cardiovascular surgical program, a 24-hour on-campus intensivist service, and specialized physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and case managers. BHC's intensive care program consists of service at two of our main hospital facilities, including: Baptist Hospital: 36 ICU beds and 36 PCU/Cardiovascular Step-down beds Gulf Breeze Hospital: 8 ICU beds Responsibilities The ideal candidate would possess the ability to create and maintain professional relationships with physicians, peers, direct reports, patients and families to refine and enhance the success of the cardiovascular service line. The Executive Director is a highly visible and accountable leader with oversight of the program including people, service, quality, safety, finance and growth, to ensure effective operational direction and delivery of highly reliable, safe patient care. The candidate must possess effective and advanced communication skills, confidence, demonstrate a high level of integrity and responsibility, and have an adept proficiency in service-oriented performance and process improvement activities. Qualifications Position Requirements and Qualifications: Work Experience: Applicants must have 7-9 years of nursing experience, inclusive of critical care, cardiothoracic, cardiovascular, neurotrauma, surgical intensive and strong managerial proficiencies. Education: A bachelor's degree in nursing is required. A master's degree in nursing, Business, Health Care Administration, or other related field is preferred (candidate must earn a master's degree within 3 years of attaining employment).
