Summary:

Credit part-time, adjunct faculty teaching positions in Special Education.Opportunities may be available at the Bethlehem, PA campus, Monroe campus located in Tannersville, PA and/or online. The education department at NCC is looking for an experienced adjunct faculty member to teach classes in our Special Education program beginning spring 2023. The ideal candidate must:

  • Understand and effectively communicate, scaffold, and assess students learning and application of course and program outcomes.

  • Demonstrate understanding and use of adult learning principles, including the use of culturally relevant teaching.

  • Understand the discipline and possess advanced knowledge in DEI principles.

  • Demonstrate experience and expertise in using technology to support teaching and learning

Qualifications:

A Master's degree in Special Education from a regionally accredited institution is required. College teaching experience preferred.

Special Instructions:

The number of adjunct instructors hired varies from semester to semester, and is based on enrollment. When an opening becomes available, the hiring manager will look to this pool of candidates for consideration. If hired, official transcripts will be required from all undergraduate and graduate universities attended before a contract is issued.
