Specialists are expected to engage in specialized research in the retina and the brain and to use their professional expertise to make scientific and scholarly contributions, and may participate in University and Public Service. The Specialist will study in the field of neural development and regenerative medicine, with intensive training in neural development and signaling mechanisms regulating early neural development; rich knowledge and strong experiences in vector construction, such as expression vector, shRNA vector etc.; skills at in situ hybridization of early embryos and in utero electroporation onto the mouse developing cortex; skills at the culture of primary embryonic neurons; skills at engineering knock-in and knock-out; experience in mentoring junior graduate students and technicians.
