Moffatt & Nichol is seeking Senior Rail Engineer to lead our growing list of rail projects and pursuits. Qualified candidates must have experience that includes planning, design, and preparation of construction drawings and contract documents for all types of rail projects from planning through construction. They will have served as a project engineer, task lead, project manager on rail projects with key public and private clients, including state DOT's, class 1, 2, and 3 railroads, passenger and commuter rail agencies, seaports, logistic parks, private and public economic development entities, etc. Rail projects include commuter, intercity, freight, intermodal, light and heavy rail, as well as passenger stations, maintenance support facilities, rail yards, inland ports, mainline or line-of-road work, at-grade crossings, and grade separations. We are looking for an individual with strong written and verbal communication skills, a proven ability to lead projects and teams. This individual must be energetic, self-directed, and success focused.

Working conditions: Works indoors and onsite/outdoors with some travel across the United States. Frequently sits, stands and walks as well as writes and uses a computer keyboard. May be exposed to weather conditions including rain, and very hot and very cold. Physical requirements: Sedentary for long periods of time, interact with clients, and travel occasionally.
