The Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, Division of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R), at the University of Minnesota announces an outstanding opportunity to join a dynamic and growing academic medicine department as a full-time academic physiatrist. We are seeking a dynamic and energetic professional who desires to be a part of the M Health Fairview multi-disciplinary, patient-centered, General Physiatry Program. As a physiatrist, the candidate's responsibility will include working with the PM&R Medical Director/Division Director and leadership to expand our physiatry program. The ideal candidate will be committed to excellent patient care, possess strong clinical skills, have outstanding interpersonal skills, and have an interest in education and scholarly activity. As a member of a multidisciplinary team, the candidate will join an active academic physiatry clinical practice and a growing academic department. Faculty members mentor residents, fellows, medical students, and allied health professionals; including teaching, training, and general supervision in a clinical setting. Academic track and rank are determined by the applicant's qualifications and interests. Academic time is used to pursue scholarly work in the candidate's area of specialty/research expertise.
